We are not all blessed with a perfect smile at birth.
Crooked, out of place, or overcrowded teeth can make you feel self-conscious about smiling. Since your smile is such an important part of who you are, we wanted to offer our patients an orthodontic treatment option that would be effective and convenient.
If you want to address your smile but the idea of years of brackets and wires does not appeal to you, Invisalign might be the perfect option to help you get the results you want in a more discreet way.
Invisalign uses clear aligner trays, instead of brackets and wires, to gradually move your teeth into proper alignment. You will change out your trays periodically as you progress through treatment, with each set of trays bringing you closer to your ideal smile.
Since Invisalign uses clear aligner trays to move your teeth, you can avoid the brackets and wires that sometimes cause pain and irritation to your delicate tissue.
Invisalign trays are clear, removable, and invisible.
Unless someone is very close to you or you tell them about your orthodontic treatment, they may never notice.
You can speak normally, eat the foods you love, and clean your teeth easily without any special tools or techniques.
We will schedule an evaluation for you with Dr. Weinstein. He will look at your bite and your teeth and discuss what you would like to see when it comes to your new smile. At this appointment, he will be able to let you know if Invisalign is right for you.
The next step will be to plan your Invisalign treatment:
Once we gather all your information, we will send it to our Invisalign lab and they will create your custom aligner trays. Each set of trays will be unique to you!
Once we receive your aligner trays, Dr. Weinstein will go over your treatment instructions and discuss how long to wear each set of trays. He will also make sure you have periodic follow-up appointments to ensure your treatment stays on track.
Your commitment to your new smile is important! You should wear your trays for most of the day – about 20-22 hours total – to stay on track with treatment. Since Invisalign is completely clear, you will be able to watch your smile transform during your treatment.
Wearing an orthodontic retainer will be essential in preserving your new smile. Failure to wear your retainer will result in the shifting of your teeth.
